I want to install access runtime on the server computer terminal window my office so I made an application to use microsoft access can be used from outside the office just by logging into the terminal server computer tsb. When running the setup.exe file appears like the following error “Some default settings in Microsoft Office 2000 setup do not work properly on a Windows Terminal Server. To install Office on Terminal Server you must use the instructions and tools available in your Office 2000 Resource Kit or at http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK”

Then I tried googling for a solution of the above problems and finally meet also at microsoft website with the address and try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/224313/ I followed the steps but have not succeeded as well, and after the umpteenth time finally . well pleased.

Here are the steps I have outlined briefly from microsoft website:

  1. Download Office Resource Kit (ORK) Core Tool Set.
  2. Go to Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs and then click Add New Programs and click CD or Floppy button
  3. Following dialog box appears and locate the installation files from the Access Runtime. after the meet click Open.

undefined

4. after it added the words TRANSFORMS=path\TermSrvr.mst.     Path The path can be replaced with the location of the file TermSrvr.mst. better to simply copy files  TermSrvr.mst to the root C:\ as the I do.

undefined

then click Next and do installation Access Runtime as ussual.

Goodluck!!
